Refund policy
At ValueTek, we strive to provide our customers with high-quality solar products and exceptional service. We understand that sometimes circumstances may arise where you need to return a product. This refund policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds will be granted. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. By purchasing from ValueTek, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.
- 1. Eligibility for Refunds
- Full Refund: A full refund will be issued if the product(s):
- Has not been removed from its original packaging, AND
- Has not been used, AND
- Was purchased within the last 30 days.
- OR The product(s) were refused on delivery.
- OR The product(s) do not meet a particular purpose AND was delivered within the last 10 days, as outlined in the South African Consumer Protection Act(CPA)
- OR The product(s) do not meet the quality standards outlined in the CPA
- Partial Refund: A partial refund will be granted if the product(s):
- Has been used but remains in a pristine working resealable condition, AND
- Was purchased within the last 30 days.
- 2. Repackaging Fee
- If a product has been used but is still in a working resealable condition, a repackaging fee of 6% of the item cost will be deducted from the refund amount. The repackaging fee covers the cost of restoring the product to its original packaging state.
- 3. Refund Process
- To initiate a refund, please follow these steps:
- Contact our customer support team within 7 days of purchase.
- Provide proof of purchase, such as an order number or receipt.
- Clearly explain the reason for the return and whether the product has been used or remains unopened.
- 4. South African Consumer Protection Law
- Our refund policy is in accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act. We are committed to upholding your rights as a consumer and complying with all relevant regulations.
- This policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under South African law.
- 5. Exceptions
- The following items are not eligible for a refund:
- Customized or personalized products.
- Products that have been damaged due to negligence, misuse, or improper installation.
- 6. Timeframe for Refunds
- Once we receive the returned product and confirm its eligibility for a refund, we will process the refund within 14 working days.
- The refund will be issued in the original form of payment used for the purchase unless another method has been agreed upon
