Limited Warranty
- 1. General
This Limited Warranty is provided by ValueTek (hereinafter “ValueTek” or “the Company”), a company incorporated under the laws of South Africa. This Limited Warranty applies to the original purchaser of the ValueTek product (“You”) and is not transferable.
- 2. Warranty Coverage
Subject to the limitations and exclusions set out below, ValueTek warrants that the product (“Product”), when delivered in new condition and in its original packaging, will be free from defects in material and workmanship affecting normal use for a period of months stated on the tax invoice given during purchase, from the date of original purchase (“Warranty Period”).
- 3. Replacement of Product
- Out of Box Failures: In the event of an out of box failure, ValueTek will provide You with a full replacement unit at no cost, or a full refund. An out of box failure is defined as a defect or malfunction that is discovered immediately upon first use of the Product. The defective product must be returned to ValueTek before a replacement or refund can be delivered.
- After First Use: If a defect is discovered after the first use of the Product, ValueTek will cover replacement costs up to 50 percent of the original Product cost, unless the defect is due to water damage or if the anti-tamper seal or Product has been altered in any way, as set out in clause 4.
- 4. Exclusions and Limitations
This Warranty does not cover:
- Products that have been subjected to water damage;
- Products where the anti-tamper seal has been broken or otherwise tampered with;
- Products that have been altered in any way; and
- Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents, or non-compliance with the prescribed instructions for use.
- 5. Claim Procedure
To make a claim under this Warranty, You must contact ValueTek’s customer service team within the Warranty Period and provide proof of purchase (indicating the date of purchase and the place of purchase), as well as a detailed description of the defect. ValueTek reserves the right to inspect the defective Product before honouring the warranty claim.
- 6. Jurisdiction
This Warranty shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of South Africa. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa for resolution of any disputes arising from or in connection with this Warranty.
By purchasing and using the Product, You agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Limited Warranty. If You do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Product.
